visit #4

Todays date was October 30. It was colder but not too cold. The weather was dry and around the upper 50's in the after noon. I went outside at about 6:30 while it was still light out. The sun has been setting earlier and earlier so I have been having to get out there before the sun goes down to get good pictures. There was little to no wind today unlike the previous week witch contained lots of harsh winds. today was only 10 hours and 23 minutes long. it was fairly quiet when I went out there, I did hear some rustling leaves as I walk as well as some animals probably squirrels or maybe even a deer nearby walking through the woods.  Here is also the link to my document of tables where I compare the leaf color and leaf fall of each of my visits    -  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wp7xu3nIu5cYjPSjSm9gHQZ5C4Xv61Q6rV4OiAGeeK0/edit North  East  South  West

Today's date was 10/12/22. I went out around 7:15 while it was still light. Today it was raining pretty much all throughout the day so that made everything wet. It was in the 50's throughout the day. The length of day was eleven hours and twelve minutes. While I was outside it was pretty quiet other than the sound of rain dropping from the trees and the leaves rustling under my feet as I walked. When I came back my shoes were wet because of the rain we had that day. This time I finally started to see some change in the leaf color. There was a lot more oranges and yellows as well as many more leaves on the ground. Below I drew a picture of one of the branches I saw.   I also made a table comparing the leaf color and leaf fall from my last field studies to this one.    -  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wp7xu3nIu5cYjPSjSm9gHQZ5C4Xv61Q6rV4OiAGeeK0/edit North  East  South  West

Here are pictures that I took from North, East, South, and West facing the same tree in my previous posts and below are notes about what I noticed.  North side  East side  South side  West side  Todays date was 9/27/22 and pictures were taken around 5:45 pm. The weather was cold and cloudy and roughly 50ºF, there was also some rain throughout the day so everything was wet. The length of day was 11 hours and 55 minutes. I heard some birds including a large bird that I saw as I was entering the area that flew off. I noticed a few things had changed around the area. In the last picture of the West side, you can see a branch that had been broken off and the leaves were changing colors, but mostly everything else was a lot alike. This time is was much wetter than the last time because it had just rained. As I looked around the area and studied the tree I was wondering when the leaves would start to change color, because fall had come I assumed the trees leaves ...

Visit #1

Visit #1 -  I visited my plot of land around 8:10 at night on 9/6/22. The length of day was 12 hours and 56 minutes. It was a slightly cooler day with temps in the mid 70's. There was a breeze and it was a bit cloudy. While I was outside in my plot of land. It was getting a little bit darker because it was later in night but still light enough out where I could still see and take pictures. I saw many different kinds of trees and plants. I saw a deer trail where the deer in the area like to travel. I felt many twigs and leaves that I brushed up against when I was walking. I heard the sounds of machinery running, but I also heard the sounds of birds.  This was my first visit so I had nothing to compare it to quite yet, but I will be looking forward to seeing what has changed in the times to come. below are pictures of a specific tree with smaller bushes and trees around it. I took a compass and marked spots and North, East, South, and West and took a picture at each spot.  ...
